From New Mexico, through Colorado, to Moab

On the Road again, heading into Colorado

On the road again, much shorter trip, going through Colorado on our way to Moab, Utah. Picture shot through front windsheild.

Chimney Rock

Chimney Rock, comes in much better when you stop and get out the take a picture. Now if we stopped every time I saw something that made a great picture, the trip would have lasted forever.

Colorado Farmlands

Lots of beautiful farmlands between Cortez and Monticello, again while moving down the road.

Sunflower Fields

Not just beans and hay, but lots and lots of sunflowers.

Church Rock in southern Utah

Rock of many names, the sign says “Church Rock”, I seem to remember it being called a “Cookie Jar”, and my dad calls it something like “Aunt Becky”. I couldn’t have asked for better light, clouds and all, well maybe a sunrise or sunset.

Wilson Arch in Moab

Just before Moab, we come to Wilson Arch, you can’t see it in the picture, but they are building a housing community nearby. Those dots are people to give you an idea of the size.

Okay, this post is just too long, why I added the more link. So the wild Hummer ride in Moab will have to wait until another post.

  1. Aunt Becky looks great! ;)

  2. See the difference great lighting makes in a photo.

    I like her too.

  3. Thank you for sharing!
