What lovely thoughts and they are true no matter what the season. We need to remember to give thanks and appreciation to those around us as frequently as we can. One never knows when you'll draw your last breath and you'll want to leave this world with the knowledge that your loved ones know the true depth of your feelings.

Thanks for the reminder Heidi. In case I haven't said it out loud lately - thanks to you and all my Diva sisters for the support, advice, and friendship you have given me this year. Often you are the bright spot at the end of a long day.

Thanks so much ya'll, friends make it so worth while.

Joyce, Rosie thanks so much for the comments on the photo. I love those gifts from nature. My front yard tree just turned a brilliant red this week. And Joyce, I'm sure your journal is a joy to read filled with gratitude. I'm with Rosie on this, times when we need it most, we may not feel like it. I've found that if I take a walk outside, enjoying the beauty, it is easy to find things to be thankful for.

Bev, yes! just think how the world would be if everyone focused on all the gifts we have, instead of what we lack.

Kathie, may "Thank You" ever be in fashion. Smart business people have been teaching the power of thank you for centuries.

Pam, thanks for being there, the positive glue that helps hold us together.

I also neglected to say how a spirit of Thanfulness really helps depression. I have something called the 10 point depression fighter. I force myself to think of 10 things to be thankful for when really in a deep funky mood. It works! But the hard thing is doing it when I just don't FEEL like it.

May I never, ever forget to ssy thanks to God and others. Also, may I never shut my eyes to the beauty reflected in a simple leaf in the palm of one's hand.

It's amazing how such a simple phrase 'thank you' can mean so much to people. It will always be fashionable to appreciate others.

Heidi,

I so agree with you! Just being thankful for being alive to enjoy the day with family and friends is special. I just hope people will remember the Thanksgiving Spirit long after the holiday is over.

Thanks Heidi for having such a warm, genuine giving spirit!

Heidi, beautiful reminder--and the photo with the autumn leaf in an open hand is the most gorgeous, perfect choice for this post. I do something that keeps me focused on gratitude. Every time I write in my journal, I have a column called "Things I'm Grateful for Today." Over the years, it has gotten easy to come up with at least 10 things every day that I'm thankful for. I believe it sets an energy to attract even more good, but that's not why I do it. It's just right to give thanks when we have so much. Thank you for being part of the Baby Boomer Divas.

Thanks Jessica,
Wish you could be here for Thanksgiving, good thing we have phones, even if Leslie likes to hang up on us. I'm thankful for how well you and your siblings are doing.
