Glad that y’all enjoyed it. Sometimes it is fun just to play with words, easy to write when you know the right words just come to mind.

Creative writing is so much easier for me than a press release, or other such words.

Very fun! I have memories of some of these very same things….we also just had a mouse in our house that was driving the cats nuts! The mouse seemed to want to play with the cats. The cats did not harm the mouse (very interesting) and then the mouse climbed into my husband’s hand and he set him outside….how weird is that!

Santa Mouse was at our house…tell me more about your inspirational mouse, Heidi:)

Heidi,

This is possibly the greatest thing you’ve ever written… at least that I’ve had the privilege to read. Such a heartwarming snapshot of your family.

I cracked up at this stanza:

“When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my chair to see what was the matter.

Out the front door I flew like a flash,
Just barely in time to put out my trash.”
