  1. I am so glad you showed this to me! I took a trip to our old house in Oklahoma and retraced the walk I went to school each day. Fun memories of the slad dad made for us and riding bikes up and down the hill. I even found the soccer field Tim and I used to play in.

  2. This is really cool Heidi! I tried to take my own trip down memory lane to my old address but it didn’t work for me–but it was nice seeing your old stomping grounds. It would be cool to see all of the other places I’ve lived over the years.

I didn’t know you had lived in Pittsburgh.

  3. Yes, we’ve done this and it’s fun to see how the trees have grown and the area too. At the moment we use it to check out houses we want to visit – we’re house hunting!

  4. This is cool, Heidi. I drove around my old neighborhood only a few weeks ago, for real. Oh, the memories!

  5. Jessica, glad you enjoyed your trip. Did you check out both houses in Lawton?

Beverly, yep, we lived in Pittsburg area for a couple of years. More snow there than any place else I’ve lived. And we never missed a day of school due to snow, although we were stuck at school once due to blizzard.

Kathie, I never thought of using it to house hunt, but that makes a lot of sense. Great idea!

Pam, I bet that was fun driving around the old neighborhood, better than a google drive any day.

  6. Thank you for telling us about this website. I will check it out.

  7. Heidi,

I am going to have to try your approach, it looks like great fun.

I use Google Earth, and have taken as much of the trip as possible to my Grandparent’s former home where we used to vacation as children, and “traveled” along many other familiar roads. It really is a “trip down memory lane” as you said! It’s not quite the same view as yours, looking forward to playing with this tool.

    Claudia 🙂

  8. Very cool. Heidi. Tried to find the house I grew up in, but it is so far into the country in South Alabama . . . I don’t think GPS has it yet 🙂
